Week 8 Pick 3
It is time for another glorious Sunday of football, and it is a relaxing one for me. Only a few times a year is this the case, and it is because the Chargers play Monday Night. I always approach these days more relaxed, because I know a heart attack isn’t coming.
This Sunday does not have a ton of marquee matchups, but we should see some pretty competitive games. With that said, lets Pick 3:
Lock of the Week
It seems like there are a few options here, but I am going with the 49ers over the Browns. Cleveland travels west after only managing to put up 6 points against a bad Seahawks team on last Sunday, and this week they will be headed west for a tough road test. Jim Harbaugh leads his 5-1 team coming off a bye week, so we should see an extremely focused Niner team.
San Francisco wins 31-3
Upset of the Week
Lots of interesting match ups to pick from this week, but I am going with the fighting Tebows to beat the Lions. Detroit is beaten up, and without a run game it will be hard to move the ball for the Lions. Matthew Stafford is hobbled, and it seems Tim Tebow has his team mates motivated and playing hard for him. It wont be easy, but Denver will squeak this one out.
Denver wins 20-17
Game of the Week
Looking at the schedule, their are about 3 different ways I could have gone for the GOTW but I am going with the AFC clash in the steel city. The Patriots head into Pittsburgh as two of the top teams in the AFC. It is going to be cold, but that will not bother either team. Tom Brady has owned this team over the year, and it seems the Steelers have a chip on their shoulder heading into this game. Pittsburgh will need to put pressure on Brady early and often, and if they do we should see a pretty damn good game. The Patriots have survived close games recently, but I think they finally fall here.
